The travelling wheel assembly of coal mine shearer travelling box belongs to open gear transmission system without lubrication.

When shearer walks, it will suffer a lot of cutting and dead weight impact load, which will cause damage to shearer walking wheel and often drive gear.

Because the walking wheel is often damaged, it is often replaced.

 

The travelling wheel system is at the end of transmission and the EPT process is complicated.

Damaged walking wheel assemblies can only be removed when the pin rail and device are removed and the mandrel is pulled out using a special tool.

Due to underground coal dust, is not conducive to disassembly, inspection, assembly and replacement, only the overall EPT of the walking wheel components.

It usually takes a long time for new walking wheel components to be shipped at the installation location before production stops.

At the same time, due to the complex processing EPT and high machining accuracy requirements, the cost of replacing traveling wheel components is relatively high.

 

 

This paper overcomes the defects of the existing technology, and provides a kind of replaceable walking wheel assembly used on the walking box of coal mining machine in 

underground coal mine with simple assembly process, convenient replacement, effective cost reduction and short EPT time

 

 

It includes driven wheel, driven wheel end cover, walking wheel end cover, roller bearing and cascade ring seal ring.

The driving wheel is a boss with an external spline. 

The boss is embedded with roller bearings.

 The walking wheel is a groove with an internal spline.

The end cover of the driven wheel and the end cover of the walking wheel are installed on the outside of the driven wheel and the walking wheel by fixing bolts respectively.

Roller bearing sleeve on the mandrel, relative to the mandrel rotation and sliding;

The mandrel is supported on the traveling box shell through the pin sleeve;

A cascade ring sealing ring is installed between the inner sleeve of the roller bearing, the end cover of the driven wheel and the end cover of the walking wheel.

 

The sealed bearing prevents calcium based grease from flowing out of the outside and prevents coal dust from entering the bearing interior
